Summer School on Nonlinear Parabolic Equations and Applications Mathematics Department, Swansea University, 7-11 July 2008 | |||
The trip will be a circular coastal walk on the Rhossili Beach and Downs of about 3 hours and 5 miles (8 km) long. The walk begins at Rhossili village. We will climb the hills to reach the highest point in Gower at 633ft (193m), pass several prehistoric burial sites and a wartime radar station on Rhossili Downs, then descent to Burrowes Dunes and Rhossili Beach to return to our starting point in the village of Rhossili. (Light) walking shoes are absolutely necessary! We recommend to have a small rucksack containing both sun protection (cream, hat) and a raincoat. The weather often changes unpredictably in the area, which could be also very windy at times. Itinerary
